# Connectivity

### Ready for Connection

When the ring is disconnected from power, it will **flash blue** signaling that it is ready to establish a bluetooth low energy (BLE ™ ) connection with your iOS device.

Please refer to the [Senstream iOS app documentation for instructions on how to pair the ring](/senstream-researcher-ring-application-user-guide/ios-mobile-app/pairing-a-ring.md).

The ring will also flash blue after pairing if the ring loses its connection due to the session closing.

### Ring is added to a Session

Once paired to your device the LED will turn to a **solid green** state indicating it is paired.

It will remain in this state for about two minutes until the ring goes into a low power sleep mode. If the ring isn’t paired during that time it can be powered up by simply moving it.
